The Structure of Plants (part 2)

Science - Helping young children understand plant structure…

You've set up the seed experiment from the plant diary video - time to chat about what you might see.

Young children (6-7 years old) should be able to identify the basic structure of a plant.

In this video, Tristram will highlight terms that begin to encourage children's scientific understanding of plants.

 

Have you started the seed experiment found HERE ?  If not give it a go!

 

Then, with sufficient time and water (7-10 days), you can have seeds showing signs of growth.  The 3 set ups - No Light, No water, and one with Water & Light - will all be different. Use the video to help chat to little ones about what you can see.
